As part of their apprenticeship, our apprentices have the opportunity to acquire various additional qualifications.
One example of this is the European Assistant, which offers the opportunity to build up international skills already during the training.
Last October our trainee Linus Schönig (centre) went to Cork, Ireland for four weeks. There he completed his internship abroad as part of his additional qualification as a European Assistant. He worked at O'Flynn Medical - the company is active in the medical sector and mainly rents air mattresses, air cushions and pumps for hospitals and old people's homes throughout Ireland. Linus supported the service department there and was responsible for the repair of air mattresses and pumps. He also worked in the field and inspected electric beds in hospitals on site.
He spent the four weeks with a friendly host family. Besides the new professional experiences Linus gained many other impressions while travelling through Ireland on weekends and meeting new people. So he first travelled along the Ring of Kerry (South-West coast of Ireland), on the second weekend to Galway, then to Dublin and Northern Ireland and on the last weekend to the Jazz Festival in Cork.
