We are expanding our shopfloor capacities with another assembly hall having a floor space of 1,000m². In this way, we are increasing our capacities on the one hand and can make our internal work processes much more efficient on the other.
Of course, the building will be designed according to the most modern energy standards: Heating will be provided by an air-source heat pump. In addition, the roof will be equipped with a 100kWp photovoltaic system, which can be expanded in further stages to an output of up to 400kWp.
The ground-breaking ceremony has recently taken place. We are looking forward to the cooperation with Felix Laumann, BSH Bentheimer Stahl- und Hallenbau, Beckonert Bau and Architekturbüro Andreas Holtfrerich!
We have increased our team in all departments during the last months (see picture) and are ready for even more new projects and challenges.
A warm welcome to L+R to all new colleagues!
50 years of L+R - for us a good reason to celebrate!
Laubinger+Rickmann has been producing special purpose machines since 1972 - today with a focus on non-destructive testing technology and straightening systems. During this time we have had the opportunity to develop new products together with many renowned customers from aerospace, automotive, railroad and steel industries. So it is time to say thank you! Thank you to our team, which always creates unique solutions, and thank you to our customers, who always put their trust in this team and provide us with new, exciting challenges.
On May 20, we have celebrated our anniversary in a festive way with a gala event together with our customers and employees, looking back on 50 years of company history and looking forward to the future. Many thanks to Mr. Tischner, General Manager of the Steinfurt-Warendorf District Chamber of Crafts and to our mayoress Mrs. Schemmann for their kind words of greeting! The official part was concluded by a humorous lecture of Dr. Jens Wegmann - and afterwards the festivities continued until the early hours of the morning...!
On May 21, the shopfloor was opened for our families, so that partners, children and relatives could get an idea of L+R at first hand. Of course, there were also attractions suitable for the kids, such as pony rides, a chain carousel and a bouncy castle. We hope that we could inspire the next generation for L+R!
Many thanks also to the background forces: Hidding Events for tent etc., Lightconcept Wettringen for the professional event technology, Strohbücker Eventgastronomie for the great catering as well as Christian Bruns for the musical entertainment.
In this spirit: A toast to the next 50 years!
We are participating!

more InformationAt L+R we invest for our customers:
Whether for our customers in mechanical engineering, in the automotive industry or in aerospace technology - everywhere where not only time and money but also precision are crucial production factors, Laubinger + Rickmann GmbH & Co. KG provides an optimal manufacturing solution with the highest quality standards.
By investing in a modern 5-axis simultaneous milling machine with pallet changer and its programming via a CAD-CAM system, we can meet the increased market demands for high-quality machines with short delivery times even better.
The machine of type DMU 60 eVo linear allows impressive traversing speeds of all linear axes of up to 80 m/min due to the integrated dynamic package. The integrated pallet changer and other accessories enable parallel set-up and unmanned 5-axis simultaneous machining of up to eight different workpieces.
The team of the machining department is looking forward to the new challenges!
Following our slogan - Technology for Quality - we have once again successfully obtained re-certification as a specialist welding company according to DIN EN 1090 and DIN EN ISO 3834.
Our responsible welding supervisor David Iker and quality management representative Sophie Schmiemann are pleased that we can continue to provide individual solutions of the highest quality to our customers.
On September 29, our team member Philipp Hettich was accepted into the Automotive Technical Committee of the DGZfP. We are looking forward to a productive and trustful cooperation with the experts from the automotive world in order to provide our customers with an even broader spectrum of expertise!
Learn moreThe current situation around COVID-19 poses great challenges for the whole world. For us at L+R, health and safety are of course the top priority in this situation. We consistently implement the recommended protective measures such as home office, shift work and social distancing to prevent the spread of the virus and at the same time be there for you as usual.
Our business operations continue, and you can reach our employees through the usual channels.
During the last weeks we have been able to welcome a number of new employees in different departments at L+R: Jürgen Erhardt, Benedikt Feldhues and André Sestendrup (from left to right).
Welcome to our team!
Since January 2020 L+R is a member of the German Society for Non-Destructive Testing (DGZfP e.V.) in Group B "Manufacturers and Suppliers of Testing Equipment and Accessories", as Dr. Matthias Purschke, Managing Director of the DGZfP, announced in a letter to our Managing Director Thomas Thiemann.
We look forward to actively shaping the future of non-destructive testing!
Because as it is so fittingly written on the DGZfP website:
"Today, no gas or oil supply, no take-off of an airplane, no production of a car or a train, no bridge construction and no operation of a power plant is conceivable without constant control by means of non-destructive testing. Every safety-relevant part is tested!"
About the DGZfP e.V:
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zerstörungsfreie Prüfung e.V. (German Society for Non-Destructive Testing) is a technical and scientific association with more than 1,600 corporate and personal members, which is recognized both in Germany and abroad.
Its aim is the research, development, application and promotion of non-destructive testing methods.
We welcome Philipp Hettich to our team as head of sales, testing and process consulting at Laubinger + Rickmann!
After completing his diploma thesis in the field of textile testing for TÜV SÜD in Mumbai, Philipp arrived in non-destructive testing (NDT) in 2014 via detours on the development side. As head of several sites for our clients, he has gained a lot of experience with non-destructive testing equipment for various technologies and knows what is important to our clients, end customers and auditors. As a certified inspector (level 2 according to ISO 9712 in PT and RT-S) he knows the challenges of everyday inspection. As a specialist for standardization in penetrant testing and as a consultant he has already designed processes (and therefore requirements for NDT systems) worldwide or has analyzed test processes / test systems for automobile manufacturers, released them or developed solutions for testing.
It is our common goal that L+R in the field of NDT will be able not only to offer mere systems but a functioning testing process, thus clearly distinguishing L+R from the competition and further enhancing our reputation as experts in the "Technology for Quality".
In his private life Philipp is at home in Frankfurt and likes to be seen on his motorbike - be it on the road or even better off the road. If he can't go any further by land, he prefers to get on a sailboat and sail around Greek islands.
We wish Philipp all the best for the start and much success in the exciting special machine industry!
On 10 October, the NDT Roadshow on non-destructive testing took place at the Motorworld in Böblingen, the Mecca of the automotive industry. Here, visitors were offered numerous expert lectures and the opportunity to talk directly to the manufacturers at the exhibition booths.
Laubinger + Rickmann used this opportunity to present the latest generation of crack detection systems to the participants. The new concepts are tailored to the customer's requirements and thus set standards in the fields of economy and ergonomics - factors that are more important than ever in today's industrial environment.
In interesting and fruitful discussions with other industry members, ideas and impulses could also be exchanged in order to continue to focus non-destructive testing on the future.
